Dolomite Grinding and Processing

Dolomite grinding processing is a crucial industrial production process. Its primary objective is to grind dolomite raw materials into fine powder to fulfill the requirements of various industries. Appropriate grinding equipment can enhance production efficiency, decrease energy consumption, and guarantee product quality. With its unique chemical composition, physical properties, and wide range of applications, dolomite provides high-quality raw materials for construction, glass, ceramics, coatings, and other industries. With the continuous development of science and technology, the application prospects of dolomite will be broader.

Processing scheme

  • The raw dolomite stone is processed by the crusher. For coarse crushing, a jaw crusher is usually used to break the raw dolomite into small pieces; for medium crushing, an impact crusher or cone crusher is used to crush dolomite to 10~50mm; for fine crushing, a sand-making machine is used to crush the dolomite to 0~5mm for subsequent grinding.
  • During the grinding process, a suitable grinder must be selected based on the required particle size. The grinding equipment can grind dolomite into four types: coarse powder (0~3mm), fine powder (20 mesh~400 mesh), ultrafine powder (400 mesh~1250 mesh), and micro powder (1250 mesh~2500 mesh). During the grinding process, attention must also be paid to controlling the grinding speed and feed volume to ensure grinding efficiency and product quality.
  • After grinding, the dolomite powder needs to be graded to separate materials that do not meet the specifications and re-feed them to the grinding mill for reprocessing. Graded dolomite powder may need to be dried to remove excess moisture.
  • Dolomite powder that meet specifications are collected centrally into dust collectors. Finally, the finished dolomite powder is transported to the finished product silo through the discharge port and packaged for transportation to various fields.
