Talc Grinding and Processing

Talc grinding processing aims to convert talc raw materials into powders of different fineness. The powder processed from talc grinding has many applications, such as fillers and raw materials for papermaking, rubber, ceramics, paints, plastics, and other industries. At the same time, talc powder is also widely used in cosmetics and other fields because of its special physical and chemical properties, such as lubricity, anti-stickiness, and insulation.

Processing scheme

  • The large pieces of talc ore are sent to the jaw crusher through a vibrating feeder for coarse crushing. After being crushed to a certain particle size, the materials are sent to the silo by the bucket elevator, and then evenly sent to the talc Raymond mill by the electromagnetic feeder for grinding.
  • In the Raymond mill, the talc is rolled and crushed between the grinding roller and the grinding ring to achieve the purpose of crushing the material. During this process, due to the centrifugal force during rotation, the grinding roller swings outward and presses against the grinding ring, so that the talc is ground between the grinding roller and the grinding ring.
  • The pulverized talc powder needs to be classified. Classification refers to dividing talc powder into different particle size grades according to its particle size. The unqualified powder will be classified by the classifier and returned to the host machine for re-grinding.
  • The qualified talc powder will enter the dust collector through the pipe with the airflow for separation and collection. The powder after screening and dust removal can be packaged, and dust prevention measures need to be paid attention to during the packaging process.
