Gypsum Grinding and Processing

Gypsum grinding processing is a complex process involving multiple stages such as crushing, grinding, classification, and calcination. Its main purpose is to convert gypsum raw materials into gypsum powder with different fineness requirements to meet the needs of various industrial applications. Through scientific process flow and strict quality control, high-quality gypsum powder products that meet the requirements can be produced, providing important raw material support for construction, chemical industry, medicine, and other industries.

Processing scheme

  • Large pieces of gypsum ore are crushed into particles suitable for entering the grinding mill through the crusher. The feed fineness is generally controlled between 15 mm and 50 mm. Common crushing equipment includes jaw crushers, cone crushers, etc.
  • The crushed gypsum is evenly and quantitatively sent to the grinding mill through a vibrating feeder for grinding. During the grinding process, the grinding time and the size of the grinding medium need to be controlled to ensure the fineness and quality of the powder. Common grinding equipment includes ball mills, Raymond mills, high-pressure suspension roller mills, etc.
  • The ground gypsum powder is classified through a powder separator, and the gypsum powder that does not meet the fineness requirements is sent back to the grinding mill for secondary grinding to ensure that all gypsum powder reaches the predetermined quality standards.
  • Gypsum powder that meets the fineness enters the dust collector with the airflow for separation and collection. The collected finished product powder passes through the discharge port and is sent to the finished product silo by the conveying device.
